Video: The girl who silenced the world for 5 minutes
With this speech a 12-year old girl asked the UN to stop destroying the planet. She talked about the air we breathe, extincted animals, deserts, the hole in the ozone layer, etc. and she demanded a better future for the generations to come. Students may improvise their own speech if they were given a chance to talk to the UN. There is comprehension exercise but no transcript.
